Red Brick Brewing Co. April 2012 Newsletter:

"Beauty lies in the hands of the beer holder." – Anonymous

Hello Red Brick fans! We are sorry for the delay in getting information to you. It's been a crazy year so far including a copper theft at the brewery, possible expansion plans and fun parties, including a wrap party for the film "Killing Season" starring Robert DeNiro and John Travolta! Yup, that's right! We had John Travolta in the brewery last month! We've had our hands full here at the brewery and hope you'll accept our apology for the delay in the newsletter. Without further ado, here we go...

Red Brick News:

A New Year Brings New Brews:

you may need to click display/view images to properly view this email 2011 proved to be a great year for Red Brick Brewing. We started a new tradition with our Brick Mason lineup, introducing 4 amazing brews, three of which were barrel aged. With the help of our hometown distributors, General Wholesale, we successfully ran the Beer of the Month program with Taco Mac, supplying over 600 kegs to Taco Mac locations in 3 states (we almost broke the record for most pints sold in a month)! Our new year-round you may need to click display/view images to properly view this email IPA, HopLanta, continues to be a huge success and is rivaling Laughing Skull as our top seller. Our Beerbulace has been a bona fide head-turner throughout the southeast! Folks just can't get enough of our unique ride!

Moving forward, 2012 holds many exciting new adventures for the brewery. We're almost doubling our Brick Mason releases with 6 new brews in 2012 and a special Holiday release in December -almost one new beer a month! Possible export opportunities in Chile and Argentina, and new territories right here in the U.S.

We want to thank each and every one of you, our fans and supporters, for sticking with us and for making Red Brick your southern beer of choice. We appreciate your love for fine craft beer! Please stay tuned for more exciting news from Red Brick in 2012.

Lindley Knight was thoughtful enough to write about our brewery in a new blog for Beacham & Company, Realtors, which is available now to read online at Blog about Red Brick! The blog posting follows Garett Lockhart, a brewer at Red Brick, to find out why our company and its beer are so extraordinary. We found this posting to be a delight to read and we hope you do as well!

Upcoming Red Brick News:

Brick Mason 2012 Series 2: Double IPA

you may need to click display/view images to properly view this email Rounding second in our lineup this year comes our ever popular Double IPA. So popular last year we just had to brew it again. This beer is being released in April.

Brewed with 5 different hops: Apollo, Bravo, Columbus, Centenial , Cascade.
Color:  Golden Straw
Nose:   Aggressive American citrus hop
Palate:  Aggressive citrus hop bitterness in balance with a light sweetness

Food Pairing:  The hop bitterness and citrus notes of the IPA balance,(or cut) sweetness and richness,(fat), of food and emphasizes spiciness,( chili pepper heat). Our IPA goes great with strong, spicy food such as Chili, Cajun food, and hot ethnic dishes such as Curries, Hot Thai and other Asian foods such as Korean dishes and Szechwan cuisine. Pairing our Double IPA with cheese requires the strongest and tart cheese tastes. Veined cheeses such as Blue, Roquefort, and Gorgonzola provide the strong tastes that stand up to the bitterness and citrus taste of the beer.

Dog Days Ale (our summer seasonal):

you may need to click display/view images to properly view this email This brew is a lighter version of a German style Hefeweizen with spicy clove flavors with the aroma of bubble gum and bananas. It is 60% wheat and 40% malted barley. This Ale took us to the winning bracket in the 2008 Brew News Global Warming Open! So get ready for a refreshing beer for a great summer!
Color:  Golden Straw color, unfiltered, thick white head
Nose:   Spicy clove, banana and bubblegum
Palate:  light effervescence, low alcohol taste.

Food Pairing:  This warm weather beer goes with lighter foods: Salads, sushi and sashimi, seafood and of course the sausage of choice is weisswurst.
Cheese:  lighter tastes such as goat cheese, chevre and boursion.
Deserts:  Strawberry short cake and different types of puddings

*Gold Medal Winner of the 2008 Brew News Global Warming Open - "The Best Beer to Drink on a Hot Day" and Silver medal in 2006 Carolinas Championship of Beer.
